About the Journal

The Faculty of Law, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria invites submissions for its inaugural issue of Ife Journal of Law, Society and Development (IJLSD). 

IJLSD welcomes original, unpublished articles that explore the intersection of law, governance, policy, and development from local, regional, and global perspectives. Submissions from legal scholars, practitioners, and interdisciplinary researchers are encouraged. 

With a distinguished Editorial Advisory Board comprising eminent academics and practitioners, IJLSD is poised to fostering critical engagement with the law, society and development, thereby promoting scholarship that is both theoretically sound and practically relevant.

Aim and Scope 

The aim of IJLSD is to provide an authoritative and reputable forum for the publication of high-quality legal scholarship that advances understanding of the law in theory and practice.

The Journal welcomes submissions in all areas of law, with particular interest in:

    • Gender, justice, and social transformation
